The 2nd Mytilini Night Road Race took place with great success last Saturday 13th July, co-organized by the Lesvos-Lesvos Runners Association, the Classic Sports Club of Mytilini and the Municipality of Mytilini and the technical support of Lesvos Ride. There were 2 races of 5 and 10 kilometers starting at 9.00 in the evening with 200 entries, while the children's race 1 km inside the pedestrian street was preceded by 40 entries of children. The route of the 5 and 10 km races was in the fabric of the city of Mytilini starting from Tsamakia, continuing around the perimeter of the castle, on the coastal road of Epano Skala, in the central market and returning to Tsamakia around the waterfront. Most of the route crossed pedestrian streets with the aim of causing the least possible disruption to city traffic. After the end of the games, the prizes were awarded to the winners at a party on the beach in Tsamakia. The Night Race was a celebration of sports for everyone, regardless of age, physical condition or nationality, and it is everyone's wish that it become an institution and be repeated every year.
