Lesvos Relay is being held annually since 2018 and this year will take place on September 14-15, co-organized by Lesvos Runners, the Classic Sports Club of Mytilini, the North Aegean Region, the Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest and the Chamber of Lesvos. It is a non-competitive event open for everyone. The baton is being transferred around the island for a total distance of 320 kilometers, divided into 36 routes, each one of 2 to 17 kilometers. In selected places of baton change, events will take place organized by local associations.

So join us to run together through nature, civilization and history, in Lesvos island, the UNESCO geopark! Through the petrified forest, the Kalloni gulf of Aristotle, Gera gulf of olive groves, the volcanic formations, the Olympos and Lepetymnos mountains, the hot springs, the wetlands… In the pathways of Sappho and Elytis poetry, the music of Arion, the Theofilos paintings... In the castles of Mithymna and Mytilini, the temple of Messon, the ancient Pyrrha, the Roman aqueduct…
